Aiming at bringing the peoples of Canada and Russian Speaking population across Canada together, furthering creation of a true authentic, Russian-speaking community and supporting the integration of various Russian Speaking Ethnic Groups into Canadian society, Little Russia Association of Canada with Canadian Russian Jewry Organization presented "Taste of Russia" event.

"Taste of Russia" was planned as a cultural and social event that combined presentation of authentic Russian cuisine, presentation of arts and shows from various Russian Speaking Ethnic Groups.

Program of the event included shows from various Russian Speaking Ethnic Groups, with the presentation of Russia's Culture and Arts. Along with leaders of the community, Taste of Russia gathered together Diplomats, Members of Provincial and Federal Government, members of York Regional Police, Veterans Affairs Department and Non-Government Organizations.

Members of Little Russia Association of Canada and Canadian Russian Jewry Organization attended the Ground-Breaking Ceremony of the War Memorial Honoring those servicemen and women who served in the armed forces of Canada and Allied Forces. Ceremony took place at the Sherman Campus of the UJA Federation. There were about 60 guest's gathered including President of UJA Federation Ted Sokolofsky, CEO of the UJA Federation Gary Siepser, Member of Provincial Parliament Peter Shurman and others.

Members of Little Russia Association of Canada and participants of our Youth Committee attended the Conference dedicated to the Employment opportunities in Russia. Participants had a chance to have some face to face conversations with Trade Commissioner of the Russian Federation in Canada Konstantin V. Trofimov, Lou Naumovski Vice President and Director General, Moscow Representative Office, Russia a Kinross Gold Corporation and Nathan Hunt Chairman of Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association.

Members of Little Russia Chamber of Commerce attended International Conference "Investing in Russia: Myths and Facts, Risks and Opportunities" The Conference was aimed at raising awareness of Canadian business investment opportunities in Russia. The conference provided specific information about the investment climate in Russia, discussed the possibility of additional direct and portfolio investment in Canada, the Russian Federation.
